Five Droplet Propeller Discs - Glass Lampwork Necklace By Amy Holms

These lampwork glass beads were handmade in my studio from Effetre Italian glass. Each bead is comprised of a glass donut bail surrounded by 3 pressed glass discs. The 5 beads are in gradated sizes and shades of transparent green. The beads nestle together next to each other, creating a cluster of overlapping glass planes which adds depth and tones of color to the transparent glass. Included are 2 light green, 2 medium green and a central dark green bead. They are well-fused and are shown here with spacers that will be included with the beads. The beads measure between approximately 30mm around x 14mm wide to 27.5mm around x 11mm wide (1 1/8" around x 9/16" wide to 1" around x 7/16" wide). Nestled together, the cluster of 3 beads is approximately 36.5mm (1 7/16") wide. The beads have been kiln annealed for longevity and cleaned with a diamond reamer. The beads were created on a 3/32" mandrel.
